I had been excited to see this movie, but expected more from it. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't everything I wanted it to be. It was just okay.

I watched this movie with my mom, and was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time. It was a true romantic story, but also had it's own twists and turns that had you jumping out of the seat. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, and how they were created. Kate Winslet did an amazing acting job.

Now before I say anything about this movie, I did read the book, but it was many years ago when I was in 5th grade. I remembered the basic story line, but not everything. I know people that had complaints about some of the things changed from the book, but I didn't notice them because it had been so long since I had read it. I really like the idea of the Giver and this Utopian society. Often we dream about a world where there is no war and things are perfect, but this book and movie allows you to see that that is not great either.

This story was really remarkable and what kept me watching. Although acting wasn't as good as it could have been, I kept watching to find out what was going to happen with the boys.
The Other Woman staring Cameron Diaz

This movie was funny, and although the acting was sub-par, I thought the story line was clever. We have seen movies about spouses cheating on one another, but never where the women teamed up together to go against the man. It was clever, and funny, and had you cheering on the girls.
St. Vincent starring Bill Murray and Melissa McCarthy

This movie was amazing! The story line was so simple, but was able to dig so deep, and have you laughing one minute, and crying the next. The acting was brilliant by both Murray and McCarthy. They weaved through the story line so well and allowed you to see both sides of each character. Just when you thought one of them was bad, they would show a good side to them, and then when they thought they were good, they would show you a bad side. It was left for you to decide what you thought of them. It had you leaving the theater thinking about your own life, and how you are treating those around you.
God's Not Dead

I had been excited for this movie since it came out. It is a really interesting story trying to defend God. But this movie fell short for me by just a little bit. I wanted a little bit more at the end. I feel the beginning and middle of the movie was great, and then it dropped off at the end.
Big Eyes staring Amy Adams

I absolutely loved this movie. It was something a little different, a story you never thought you would hear about, but they way it was presented was so good. It had you falling in love Amy's character right away, and going on an emotional and artistic journey with her. All the elements of a perfect movie were there.
